A Swine Flu widespread Preventive Measures

What is Swine Flu and how would you know if you are infected with this killer virus. United States of America is now alarmed with the situation with the rapid increase of Swine Flu infection around the continent. America has now declared a state of health emergency at Level 5 or the pandemic level in a widespread human infection.

How can we protect ourselves by this infections if we know it is an airborne virus? Can we prevent this virus from infecting or children in their school? Do we have any medicines that can be used to cure or even prevent this swine flu virus from reaching our home?

Some tips that I found so that we can use to prevent our family from being infected by this virus.

First of all, we cannot prevent anything that we don't even know what it is. What are the symptoms of a possible swine flu infection. A fever over 100 degrees, coughing, having a runny nose and body aches. Sometimes diarrhea and nausea occurs. Moreover if you exposed with relatives or people you know who came from infective countries and US states like Mexico, California, Texas, New York, Ohio and Kansas.

Once you have a flu, don't panic for the media has full of information and the people around you are concerned for there own health too so go to your neighborhood hospital to have a check-up. In this way people are alert to prevent a potential dangerous infections.

If you already know that you are infected with swine flu, just drink a lot of water and rest. Much better if you have over-the-counter medication for high fevers and pain relievers for body and stomach symptoms.

If you feel fine, the influenza A virus spread mostly from coughing and sneezing of other people. It is also advisable that people should always wash their hands, avoid kissing and hugging or any direct contact with a person who had been or this influenza virus. We all know that swine flu evolved from an animal virus like the pig so it is important that we cook our food properly before preparing for our family.

If ever the virus already spread in your community, it is more safe if we stay inside our home rather than going to work or even in schools. A very important point is we should stay updated with the latest news about our community so we will know a better thing to do.
